Plants talk?

We've probably all heard that you should visit a florist to "say it with flowers". What we probably weren't ready for is the idea that plants can talk to each other.
How? Well, some plants will create their own pesticides. The caffeine in a coffee been is actually designed to stop insects from nibbling the seeds of this wonderful plant. But what if another plant could pick up on the smell of that coffee? Or the smell of a plant warning signal?
That is precisely what seems to be happening. So now you have another reason to go to the florist instead of cutting flowers from your own garden: you don't want your plants gossiping about you, do you?
